Winter is the perfect time to visit North Star!

Fun-filled Winter Escapes at North Star

With warm, sunshine-filled days and clear blue skies, Hastings Point on the Tweed Coast in Northern NSW is the ideal place for a winter escape … and the friendly team at North Star Holiday Resort are ready to welcome you.

A recipient of a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence six years in a row, the multi-award-winning holiday resort has something for the entire family, including North Star’s Christmas in July Celebrations (be sure to book ahead as this is one of our most popular events) and weekly educational programs at the Marine Environment Museum.

All the family can take advantage of the resort pool (heated to a warm and inviting 28 degrees) and fully-licensed Ripples Café which offers all-day dining seven days a week.

Younger members will love Sammy’s Adventure Lagoon, North Star’s famous waterpark, while those aged between 3 and 12 can join Neptune’s Castle Kid’s Club for some great holiday fun.

Adults can soak up the relaxed ambience at Seascape Leisure Centre, which is home to a hair and beauty salon, massage rooms, three temperature-controlled spas, 25m lap pool, sauna and gymnasium.

Located just 25 minutes south of the Queensland/NSW border, with the Pacific Ocean and surf beaches on one side and the estuary on the other, North Star is also the perfect spot to enjoy a host of water-fuelled activities including fishing, swimming, kayaking and whale watching.

As part of the Pacific Coast Whale Watching Trail, the Hastings Point headland is a prime vantage point to watch these majestic creatures on their annual migration from May to November. For information on whale-watching day trips, head to
