Travelling within the Border Bubble?

The only bubbles we’re seeing right now are in our champagne glass! At long last the border bubble has burst as of 1 October, we can once again welcome ALL our Queensland visitors back to North Star. You will still need to obtain a border pass for your return to Queensland, simply follow these easy steps:

STEP 1: Visit  and click Apply Now under Border Zone Residents Declaration Pass

STEP 2: Complete all questions, they will ask you for a Licence or Medicare number. Complete a declaration pass for each individual, including children, travelling over the border. Once completed, if eligible, your pass will be emailed to you

STEP 3: Print your passes and keep them in the car, ready to be used on your way home.

  • Each border pass is only valid for 7 days. If you are staying at North Star for longer than a week you can email your passes to [email protected] before your departure and we will print them for you
  • You must ensure you meet the criteria and if you have any questions about whether you can or can’t, it’s always best to contact the relevant State Health Department.
  • If you travel outside of the NSW border zone you will have to quarantine on your return to QLD. The zone now includes Ballina, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Byron Shires  Or check our the amazing attractions in the local area, you can check them out here
