Where is the BIG4 North Star Holiday Resort?
We are located adjacent to the coast, 45 minutes south of Surfers Paradise
Approx 1 ½ hours South of Brisbane and 40mins North of Byron Bay.
Are all the Cabins Air Conditioned?
Yes
Is there heating in the Accommodation?
Yes – all accommodation have heating during winter and all the main beds have electric blankets.
Do the units have TV’s and DVD players?
All of our accommodation has TV’s with Austar. With the exception of the Chalets all accommodation has DVD players.
Are the pools heated?
Yes – the pool with the slides is heated before the Easter School holidays through to the end of the September/October school holidays.
Can the kids ride their bikes?
Yes – as long as they are wearing helmets. The resort has all sealed roads and we have access to a 6km bike track from the entrance of the resort.
How much does the laundry & games room cost?
The washing machines & dryers take 4 x $1 coins. The majority of the games in the games room accept $1 coins.
How much are the gas BBQ’s?
Free
How close is the Resort to the beach?
We are approx 5 minute walk to the beach & a 5 minute walk to a tidal estuary which is great for swimming and has council BBQ facilities.
Does the Resort have ocean views?
No
Is there a Restaurant close by?
Yes – we have a licensed restaurant on-site with alfresco dining. It can cater for up to 100 persons. We also cater for functions.
How close are the shops?
There is a convenience store on-site at the Resort. Cabarita beach (3kms North) have general conveniences (fruit & vege, butchers etc),
Pottsville (3kms South) have an IGA supermarket, fruit & vege as well as a butcher shop. Kingscliff (10min drive North) has a Woolworths.
Tweed Heads two large shopping centres that include Coles, Woolworths, K-mart, Big W, Target and other specialty stores.
What facilities are in the Camp Kitchen?
3 BBQ’s, Full size gas oven, 2 x stovetops, fridge, 2 x sinks, microwave, television and eating areas both inside & out. The use of all these facilities are free.
Do we hire Kayaks?
The Resort does not, however there is a local company that hires kayaks on the Hastings Point Estuary most weekends during the summer and school holiday’s dependant on the tides
Do we sell Theme park tickets & transfers?
You can purchase theme park tickets from Reception for the same price as it costs at the front gate of the Theme Park. There is no direct bus route to the theme parks
therefore we would recommend going by car, as a result we do not offer theme park transfers.
How far are the Theme Parks from the Resort?
Movieworld, Dreamworld & Wet ‘n’ Wild are all approx 55 minutes drive (depending on traffic) Seaworld will take a little longer (1 hour) as it is in the heart of Surfers Paradise.
What time is Check In?
Check in time for Ensuite and Powered Sites is 12 noon. Check in time for Accommodation is 2pm.
What time is Check Out?
Check out time is 10am for sites and accommodation, a 4pm late departure can be arranged on arrival during off peak (subject to availability) for a minimal fee.
What are the ages for Neptune’s Kids Club?
We have orgainsed activities running during off peak weekends and all school holidays. Sessions are in two age groups 3-6 years and 7 -12 years. For further information on session times click here
Does is cost to use the Seascape Leisure Centre and Day Spa?
The 25m Lap pool, Gym and Sauna are free to use during your stay. Spas can be activated by purchasing a $2.00 token at Seascape Reception. Massages can be arranged at extra costs. This facility is for use of Adults only. For more infomation on Seascape click here
When are the viewing times for the Marine Environment Centre?
The marine environment centre is open for viewings every Saturday at 1.30pm. Additional viewings and activities are held during school holidays. Enquire at reception for further details. For more infomation click here
